Our Conference Matters magazine is published four times a year. Two editions in Dutch and two English editions, with which we participate at the international trade fairs IMEX in Frankfurt and IBTM World in Barcelona.

Het Portaal Uitgevers
Conference Matters is a brand of Het Portaal Uitgevers in Wormer. We are specialised in bringing information and as an intermediary in specific segments in the field of marketing and communication. Our other brands are Expovisie (for exhibitors and exhibition organizers) and PromZ (for suppliers and users of promotional products and business gifts).
CongresVisie and QM (Quality in Meetings)
We have been the publisher of conference information for two decades. Started as a CongresVisie, a sister magazine of Expovisie, the magazine for exhibitors and trade fair managers that has a much longer history.
Shortly before the turn of the century, the new name QM or full Quality in Meetings was chosen, with the ambition to also publish on developments at other business events.
However, the blood creeps where it can not go and writing about developments in the congress sector remained the spearhead. In 2013 we also started to inform the international conference organisers with Conference Holland; multimedia platform with a magazine, website and newsletter. And two years later, Conference Belgium followed.
The moment for a strategic reorientation came in the autumn of 2016. The developments mentioned led to the conclusion that publishing about the organisation of meaningful events, events that matter, is the most dear to us, and that we want the share the knowledge collected by us with organisers of international congresses. We celebrated this renewed focus with a new name: Conference Matters. Because conferences do matter!
Our youth years were accomplished under the familiar wings of Hollandia Publishing, part of the Hollandia Printing Group. This printing company did not survive the shake-out during the crisis years, after which we found shelter in 2009 at Het Portaal Uitgevers, the team behind PromZ, the business platform for everyone who deals professionally with promotional marketing, promotional products and business gifts.
