Convention magnetism: T. rex in Leiden

From the 10th of September 2016 Trix, a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex, will be exposed at Naturalis in Leiden. She is the first of her kind to be exhibited in Europe, and as such a unique experience. For those who dare, spectacular and special business arrangements can be booked. The T. rex exhibition is a distinguishing spot for corporate party’s and conventions. The skeleton of Tyrannosaurus rex was excavated in 2013 in Montana, USA, by Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Thanks to donations and a sponsoring programme it was possible to bring the remarkable fossil to the Netherlands.

Most complete T. rex skeleton

The T. rex is ranked in the top 3 of the most complete T. rex skeletons ever. No other T. rex fossil has been deformed so little throughout the 66 million years she was buried under ground. Trix is a Grand Old Lady whose tough life is shown clearly in the skeleton. Leiden is the only city outside the United States where an example of this huge carnivore can be seen. With the first and only T. rex in Europe the city offers a tremendous opportunity to organise a spectacular side-event throughout the next coming year.  

Dino-dancing-dinner

Meeting in Leiden for a congress or event can be an unforgettable experience if a Dino-dancing-dinner is added, a T-bone expedition including BBQ, a nice drink plus canapés underneath the gigantic jaws of T. rex, or an exciting breakfast at her feet. Naturalis offers several business arrangements featuring fossils and dinos with Trix as a showpiece. Delegates travel easily from Naturalis to the city centre by T. rex-train. Not only a most relaxing way to be transported, but also an excellent way to travel back to most hotels in the nearby centre or have a view of the best spots in town, as it is a hop on-hop off train. On top of all this, many hotels and restaurants offer special T. rex arrangements.
