Europe's largest maintenance event chooses Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre

The Euromaintenance Conference will take place in March 2021 in the brand-new Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center (RACC). The conference will be combined with Maintenance NEXT, the international trade fair for industrial maintenance. For the first time in their long, respective histories, Euromaintenance and Maintenance NEXT will align their agendas in March 2021 to host the largest maintenance event in Europe. This conference-trade fair combination is expected to welcome thousands of maintenance professionals from all over the world to the trade fair, lectures, workshops, demonstrations and company visits in and around the Botlek area.

NVDO and Ahoy

The collaboration is the initiative of the Dutch Association for Effective Maintenance (NVDO) and trade fair organiser Ahoy. 'For three days, Rotterdam will be the centre of the maintenance world', says Ellen den Broeder, Association Manager of NVDO. 'The renovated Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre will provide a wonderful stage for our international speakers.' Gert-Jan van den Nieuwenhoff, B2B Events Manager at Rotterdam Ahoy, notes, '2021 will be a special year for Ahoy: it's both the year that we turn 50 and when we open our brand-new conference centre. That we'll be able to host such a large event at the start of that year, together with our own Maintenance NEXT trade fair, is great news.'

Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre

The new conference centre, the six trade fair and event halls and the Ahoy Arena will all be used for the event. The Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre (RACC) will open its doors at the end of 2020. This new building, part of the prestigious area development in Rotterdam-Zuid called 'Hart van Zuid', features 35 halls and a theatre/auditorium with no less than 2,750 seats.

Euromaintenance and Maintenance NEXT

Euromaintenance, the largest European conference on industrial maintenance, has existed since 1972 and is an initiative of EFMNS, the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies. NVDO represents the Netherlands on the EFMNS board. Every two years, Maintenance NEXT, the premiere knowledge platform for industrial maintenance in the Benelux region, organises the most important technology and maintenance expo in the Low Countries.
