Maastricht selected to host the 2013 Risk Management Forum

Maastricht is selected to host the 2013 Risk Management Forum of the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA), with an expected 1,500 participants. Florence Bindelle, Executive Manager of FERMA, announced this today. The venue will be the Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Centre (MECC) and the forum will take place 29 September - 2 October, 2013. Maastricht clinched the business over bids from Brussels, Istanbul and Monte Carlo. The central location of Maastricht was an important factor in the choice of location given the high concentration of FERMA membership in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany. FERMA is a federation of national risk management associations from 20 countries and embraces 4,800 members. It has set itself the objective of promoting the development and application of financial risk management in Europe. The conference will have two plenary sessions and 15-24 workshops and academic sessions. In addition, there will be an exhibition with up to 65 stands.
