Novotel Amsterdam City completes first part of renovation project

AccorHotels is introducing an innovative Novotel room concept, the N-room. Accor is integrating the N-room in all Novotel hotels worldwide, both in newly built hotels and at hotels that are due for renovation. Novotel Amsterdam City is currently the first Accor hotel to have completely redesigned 206 of its 610 rooms with the brand new N-room.

Mainly serving the business market, Novotel Amsterdam City has responded to the call for novelty and quality by devoting detailed attention to technical innovation, throughout the renovations. USB ports have been integrated in the rooms and the rooms feature a sound dock, a Nespresso machine, a 55 inch interactive TV and a luxury rain shower. “Also, the new style of the rooms feels warmer because of the colour scheme, and the new furniture is more modern and more luxurious than in the previous room style”, explains Director of Sales Jeroen van Gils.

City Business rooms

A new feature of the Novotel concept is that every location can adapt certain elements to the standardized Novotel rooms. Novotel Amsterdam City, for example, has opted for the City Business rooms: rooms for two, with a desk and an armchair, especially designed for the modern business traveller. Moreover, the hotel has chosen the imagery for the wall behind the bed, which makes every hotel room unique. For example, you can find a wall-size photographic image of a winter landscape in one room, and a Japanese blossom in another.
