Postillion Hotel Amsterdam demonstrates innovative technology at opening

At Postillion Hotel Amsterdam's official opening on 5 November, invitees were given a small taste of the voice-controlled technology available in the hotel rooms. Guests can use voice control to operate room items like the curtains, lights and television. This new location revolves around innovation and comfort. For instance, the hotel operates entirely without cash and business travellers can choose from a wide array of meeting and conference facilities.

Final phase

In autumn of 2016, Postillion Hotels began its expansion into Amsterdam by opening the Convention Centre, which features a 1,000 m² plenary hall, an adjoining 800 m² of exhibition space and 17 modern meeting rooms. With the hotel's opening opposite the conference location, the final phase of the expansion is now complete and the conference capacity has been extended by an additional 13 meeting rooms. The new hotel features 19 floors with 252 hotel rooms, a rooftop terrace on the first floor and a fitness centre. For the business traveller, Postillion Hotel Amsterdam offers various catering facilities as well as flexible workspaces, a BBQ-style restaurant and a lunch concept.

Distinctive position

Erik-Jan Ginjaar, managing director of Postillion Hotels Netherlands: "With the completion of this location, Postillion Hotels has expanded its MICE capacities to a total capacity of 2,000 people. Equipping this location with voice-controlled technology gives Postillion Hotels a distinctive position in the hotel and conference market. By doing so, we've achieved our goal to be progressive and are providing our guests with optimal convenience."
