ICCA vestigt regionaal hoofdkantoor in Dubai

ICCA gaat haar regionale hoofdkantoor voor het Midden Oosten vestigen in het Dubai Association Centre. De internationale branchevereniging voor de congresindustrie is momenteel op zoek naar een regionale directeur, die het werk gaat voortzetten van Al Ketbi Consultancy, het bedrijf dat in 2012 ervoor zorgde dat ICCA een lokale vertegenwoordiging kreeg in de regio.
Het nieuwe regionale ICCA-hoofdkantoor moet later dit jaar volledig operationeel zijn. De branche-organisatie ging in op een uitnodiging van drie organisaties die al in het Dubai Association Centre huisden. In totaal zijn er nu 13 regionale associatiekantoren gevestigd in het centrum dat mede als doel heeft om Dubai een voorkeursbestemming te maken voor congressen van deze verenigingen.

ICCA President Nina Freysen-Pretorius: “The ICCA Board decided last year to award our 2018 Congress to Dubai in recognition of the region”s enormous potential for meetings industry growth, and we watched with great interest as the Dubai Association Centre was set up to give associations a legal and operationally efficient way to establish a presence in the Middle East. When the invitation came to register it was perfectly timed with our strategic plans for the region, so we were delighted to accept.”
